Size of a tennis ball. Beneficiary of low sun now climbing higher in the sky. Raised bed probably means shallow root depth.

Peas!

Work day Saturday went well, sunny, chilly, breezy. The garden plot may stay where it is; the move discussed last year never jelled. While cleaning up the raised beds, I moved mulch to the side and noticed peas finally sprouted, tiny green curls and spears, stabbing and battling toward the sky!
