Dug in First Compost Today

On the back burner for months, the idea of compost moved to a front burner. The compost itself both hit the clay. The warm sun porch reminded me to look for the shovel. The compost is now buried. Over the next week, perhaps the squirrels and birds will find it. One hyacinth is showing it green helix; it may have divided itself during the last five years. Green spears from croci and daffodils arrived after yuletide.

Breeze Farm

Visited last week to view of the greenhouses moved. The persimmon tree growing next to the farm house--cut down! Shock. Maybe the fruit attracted too many deer. The persimmon tree was likely there before the farmhouse was built or started growing soon after. There was no noticeable damage to the farmhouse. The proximity may have been a problem.
