On Sunday, I removed 1.5-2 feet of the top branches. The tomatoes grow fast in the sunlight and humidity. If they are staked vertically (which can be as tall as 6 or 7 feet), they grow well; otherwise, the top branches bend, as shown below. The tomatoes are upside down! After they bend, they break or split, and allow insects, disease, mold to invade the branch.
